The Bromley Youth Employment Scheme
Bromley Education Business Partnership (BEBP) (part of the London Borough of Bromley (LBB)) are proud to announce it’s new Youth Employment Scheme, which aims to place young people into gainful employment. As your corporate parent, LBB have a responsibility to support your education and your subsequent transition into employment, and this project could help.
A key part of the project is to extend the offer of LBB work experience to Bromley young people in Years 10 and above. We are currently in the process of arranging places with directors and could have up to 20 places available in the summer term and during the summer holidays (please be aware that if you would like a placement during school term time, it will have to be arranged in consultation with your school).
LBB is a diverse workforce with a range of departments including Finance, HR, Education, and Planning, so with the wide range of services LBB offer, there should be a place in the area you’re looking for.
We are also liaising with the many companies we work with to increase the offer of apprenticeships to young people. Apprenticeships are a great way of learning and earning – you work and study, finishing with both a good qualification and great work experience.
Another strand of the project is to increase the work readiness of young people. As part of this, BEBP is running a range of employability events and CV, interview skills and job-seeking advice workshops. These could prove to be a big help for you, helping you take that key first step onto the career ladder.
If you are interested in undertaking work experience with Bromley council, are interested in doing an apprenticeship or just need a little bit of help with your CV, interview and job-seeking skills, then get in touch with BEBP at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 02084625046.
